Cookie policy

Data collection via cookies

A cookie is a small text string that sites you visit send to your computer’s browser, where it is stored when you visit a website, and is then sent back to the same sites the next time you visit.

Cookies are used by the Company to operate the Site or to improve its performance, but also to provide information about the Site or the User’s browsing experience.

The Site uses cookies for both technical and other purposes: while technical cookies are used to the extent that they are strictly necessary for the technical operation of the Site and to provide the service expressly requested by the User (e.g. setting the language, etc.), as explained below, cookies for other purposes (e.g. profiling cookies, analytical cookies) are used to carry out behavioural analyses of the User on the Site in order to improve its content and send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the User while surfing the web, as explained below.

a. Technical cookies
Technical cookies are essential to allow the User to move around the Site and to use its functionalities, to remember the User’s choices (e.g. language, country of origin, etc.), to distribute requests over several servers, to store when the User gives his consent to certain options (e.g. by accepting the use of certain cookies by passing the information banner), to allow the User to view content and videos through Adobe Flash Player. These cookies have a maximum duration of 2 years and do not require the User’s consent. The technical cookies used are:
– viewed_cookie_policy: Stores acceptance and closing of the Cookie banner.

b. Performance and analytics cookies of the Company
These cookies may be of a session or persistent nature, and their use is limited to the performance and improvement of the Site. These cookies allow us to recognise, measure and track visitors to our Site, thereby enabling us to improve and enhance our Site, for example by determining whether you can easily find the information you are looking for, or identifying which aspects of our Site are of most interest. These cookies are used by the Company to carry out statistical and anonymous analyses on how users navigate on the Site, the number of pages visited or the number of clicks made on a page during navigation. These cookies are assimilated by privacy regulations to technical cookies, so they do not require the User’s consent.

c. Performance and Analytics Third Party Cookies

The Company may also use third party performance and analytical cookies on the Site, for the same purposes as those described above, and in particular those of Google Analytics, by means of the “_ga” cookie, in order to carry out analyses on how Users navigate the Site, the number of pages visited or the number of clicks made on a page during navigation. The Company processes the results of these analyses only if the third party uses cookies in connection with the browser installed on the computer or other devices used by the User to navigate on the Site.
In order to activate these cookies, the User may choose to give his consent (which therefore represents the legal basis of the processing) through the mechanism illustrated in the Company’s cookie information banner, which the User displays on the homepage/landing page of the Site when he accesses it.

For information on how to manage the performance and analytics cookies installed by Google Analytics and how to refuse them, we recommend that you consult Google’s Privacy Policy and cookie options at the following links: https://www.google.it/intl/it/policies/privacy/ .
